1. Private Reference Service
Oklahoma County Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public-record indexes, official portals, and historical collections related to Oklahoma County and Oklahoma. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with a government office, court, or records custodian.
2. Acceptable Use Rules
Use this site only for lawful purposes. You may not use the site or a linked result to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person.
- Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order.
- Commit fraud, identity theft, or another unlawful act.
- Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- Scrape, reproduce, or republish content at scale.
- Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the site.
3. No Consumer Reports
We are not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on this site or returned by a linked tool is a consumer report. It may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.
4. External Services
Official portals, libraries, sponsored services, and other destinations have their own terms, privacy practices, availability, charges, and data rules. We do not control their content or results and are not responsible for their operation.
5. No Warranties
The site is offered as is and as available. We make no warranty that content, links, coverage descriptions, office contacts, or outside results are accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from use of the site or a linked resource, including decisions based on information located through it.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the site operators from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable attorneys' fees that arise from your misuse of the site or violation of these terms.
8. Site Content
The original site text, design, logo, and layout are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Linking to a page and quoting a short attributed excerpt is permitted. Systematic copying or republication of full pages is not.
9. Changes to Terms
We may revise these terms by posting a new version. Continued use after a revision is acceptance of the version then posted.
10. Restricting Access
We may suspend, block, or limit access when we reasonably believe a user has violated these terms, harmed site security, or abused a search or link. We may do so without advance notice.
11. Oklahoma Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Oklahoma's Open Records Act, Title 51 §§24A.1–24A.33, governs access to many government records subject to its exemptions, but it does not change these private-site terms or require a custodian to create a new report.
12. Severability
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent allowed by law.
13. Questions About Terms
Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Questions about a government record, correction, or certified copy must go to the office that holds that record.
